Butterfly Walk at Cromdale

Date:  Saturday 12th August

Time:  10.00am

Target Species:  Scotch Argus & whatever else we find

Meeting Place:  Layby on minor road across the Spey from Cromdale Church NJ065290 (OS map 36 – Grantown & Aviemore). What3words: professes.strutted.unzips

Description:  We’ll take a walk alongside the Spey on an estate track to a grassy meadow which can have good numbers of butterflies such as Scotch Argus & Common Blue.  The walk is around 4km there and back and there is an option of a 2nd path to explore near the start.

Approx duration:  3 to 4 hours       

What's Needed:  Packed lunch, midge repellent, waterproofs.
