REMOVAL OF REGENERATING PINES, SLUGGAN, near CARRBRIDGE for Small Blue

Date:  Saturday 11th March

Time:  09.30am

Meeting Place:  There is limited parking near to the work site, so we will meet at the main car park in Carrbridge at NH 907227 (What3words: speaker.intruding.quicksand). From there we will car share to the worksite.

Description: We will remove regenerating pines using handtools, (Tree poppers, loppers and bowsaws), to prevent the shading out of kidney vetch, the foodplant of Small Blue caterpillars.

Approx duration:  Up to 6 hours (finishing about 4pm).

What's Needed:  Places are limited so please let Pete know in advance if you plan to attend. Bring lunch and wear old clothes. If you have them, bring work gloves.

Leader: Pete Moore
