REMOVAL OF REGENERATING TREES & BUSHES, AUCHGOURISH near BOAT OF GARTEN for Dingy Skipper

 Date:  Saturday 4th March

Time:  09.30am

Meeting Place:  There is limited parking near to the work site, so we will meet at RSPB’s Garten Wood car park opposite the Boat of Garten road junction at NH 952190 (What3words: fairness.mascots.chugging). From there we will car share to a point as near to the worksite as we can drive. Note: there is still 800m to walk to the nearest part of the work site.

Description:  We will remove small regenerating trees and bushes using handtools, (Tree poppers, loppers and bowsaws), to prevent the shading out of bird’s-foot trefoil, the foodplant of Dingy Skipper caterpillars.

Approx duration:  Up to 6 hours (finishing about 4.00pm)             

What's Needed:  Places are limited so please let Pete know in advance if you plan to attend. Bring lunch and wear old clothes. If you have them, bring work gloves.
