Meeting place:  RSPB Insh Marshes main carpark, 2 miles out of Kingussie on the B970 (Past Ruthven Barracks).  Grid Ref NN775998, OS sheet 35 (Kingussie & Monadhliath Mountains).

 

Description:  A look through moth traps as part of the reserve’s annual monitoring of Dark Bordered Beauty moth, found at only three locations in Scotland.

 

Approx duration: To lunch-time and possibly beyond..........

 

What’s needed:  Packed lunch, midge repellent (just in case).
