![]() Field trip to Corrimony RSPB Reserve, Glen Urquhart, Inverness-shire, 21 people attended our first field trip of 2008, and it was a fine and sunny day. Unfortunately we didn't find any of the target Pearl-bordered Fritillaries - a species that was last recorded here in 1997. However it was good to see what was going on at the site, and our thanks go to Dan Tomes, the reserve manager, for showing us round. Among the species that we did see were a number of Orange-tips and Green-veined Whites, while among the moths were the usual Common Heaths and Brown Silver-lines, augmented by a Pebble Hook-tip and a Lead Belle. The final twist was when Mike Taylor saw a Clouded Yellow fly past the car park as we were about to go, but it disappeared too quickly for the others to catch up with it.
