Glen Orrin Field Trip - May 21st 2017

Sunday morning, the day of the BC outing to look for Pearl-bordered Fritillaries in Glen Orrin.

It was cold and the rain looked imminent! However six enthusiastic people, plus the two of us, turned up.

One Syndemis musculana, that was all the insect life seen on the way to the hillside. Fortunately we did see some very nice moths on the hill track, Lead Belle, Speckled Yellow, Small Purple-barred and Small Argent & Sable, but alas it was just too cold for any butterflies.
