DESCRIPTION Males have one black spot on forewing uppersides, females have two. Both sexes have black on the wing tips. Wingspan 38 - 50mm. LIFE CYCLE Usually has two broods. Overwinters as pupa. FLIGHT TIMES The first brood appears in April or May; the second brood flies from July to September. REGIONAL DISTRIBUTION Not so widespread as the Large White, for example less common in the Western Isles and NW Scotland. LINKS
